Day to Day Itinerary:

Day 1: Drive to Fort Portal

After breakfast, embark on a 5-6 hour journey that will take you to the beautiful town of Fort Portal. Enjoy the scenic roadside views as you make your way and upon arrival, enjoy lunch as you prepare for the afternoon crater lake drive.

After your lunch, visit one of the exquisitely beautiful crater lakes in Fort Portal on a drive. Enjoy the views of the Rwenzori mountain ranges at a distance.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking** in Kibale Forest

Arise at leisure and head into the Kibale forest with the ranger guide to track these fascinating primates. Once found, watch the chimpanzees at close proximity and observe as they go about their business in their natural habitats. You will also see numerous other ape species including the collubus monkey, baboons and red-tailed monkeys.

Day 3:Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for Game Drive

Arise to a hearty breakfast, and thereafterembark on the 2 hourdrive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. After lunch, embark on a game drive through the mating grounds of the park. Expect to see antelopes, elephants, buffalo among others. With a little luck the big cats will be seen.

Day 4:Morning Game Drive and Evening Boat Cruise

Arise early and embark on a morning game drive through the savannah grasslands. Enjoy the scenic landscape as you look out for more elephants, buffalos and numerous other big mammals of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

With a little luck you will also see carnivores like the hyena, leopard or lion which inhabit this area.

After a brief rest and lunch proceed for a boat cruise that takes you along the lake channel. Expect to see crocodiles, hippopotamus and other aquatic wildlife on this cruise.

Day 5:Drive back to Jinja via Kampala

After breakfast, start your 8 -9 hour journey back to Jinja. Enjoy the scenic roadside of the Uganda countryside as you drive across the equator. You will arrive in Jinja in the late evening hours.
