Day to Day Itinerary:

Day 1: Drive North to Gulu for Bakers’ Fort Tour

Set off at 06:00am to start an 8 hour journey northeast of the “Pearl of Africa”. Drive through the main roads as you enjoy the lively scenes of Ugandan roadside market activity. Proceed on with the journey as you pass through the lush green tropical woody savannah vegetation to the dry lands of Gulutown. You will head to Fort Patiko historical sites, Patikoalso known as “Baker’s Fort”.This was an Arab slaving outpost that was captured by Sir Samuel and Lady Baker. A local guide will narrate for you the historical events as they happened in the 19 th Century.

A Return in time for dinner at the hotel and settle in for a warm bath to relax you after a long days’ journey.

Day 2: Drive to Kidepo Valley National Park for evening game drive

Awaken in time for breakfast and proceed to Kidepo Valley National Park. Getting there could take 4 hours because of the state of the roads. Have lunch and then head out for a game drive. Look out for the zebras, giraffes, elephants, lions, leopards and is the only place in Uganda where you can find cheetah and ostrich so remember to take your pair of keen eyes with you. Thereafter head back to the camp to settle in for dinner and unwind for the day’s events.

Day 3:Morning game drive and optional visit to the Karamojong community

Wake up early for a big game safari as you experience the beauty of one of Africa’s most isolated but spectacular parks. Drive through the remote beautiful tracks in Kidepo as you search for more game including elephants, buffaloes and antelopes. With luck lions will be seen at close proximity. Have lunch in one of Kidepo’s hidden places as you enjoy the landscapes and wildlife at close range. After lunch, you can opt to visit the Karimojong people and see how they cope with life in this semi dessert area.

Return at your Lodge in time for dinner and catch the sunset as you unwind.

Day 4:Transfer to Sipi Falls

Awaken in time for your breakfast, thereafter head out with a game drive as you leave the park. Proceed on with the journey to Sipi where you will arrive in the evening. Have dinner and settle in for the night.

Day 5:Sipi Falls Hike & Transfer back to Jinja/Kampala/Entebbe

After breakfast, you will embark on a 1.5 hrs hike to the main falls of Sipi. Rest abit and thereafter transfer from Sipi to Jinja/Kampala or even Entebbe Airport depending on your flight time.
