Day to Day Itinerary:

Day 1: Drive to Budongo Forest for Chimpanzee Tracking

Arise early and set off at 07:00AM for a 5 hour drive heading north-west of Uganda. Drive down the main roads as you enjoy the lively scenes of Ugandan roadside market activity. Proceed to the thick lush green tropical forest of Budongo in Murchison Falls National Park where you will break for lunch before you embark on the trails for chimpanzee tracking.

After lunch and briefing by the guide, start the tracking as you make your way through the lush green tropical forests and the undergrowth in search of the chimpanzees.

Once found, watch the chimpanzees at close proximity and observe as they go about their business in their natural habitats. Observe these intelligent close relatives of humans and learn more about their feeding habits and social hierarchy. You will also see numerous other ape species including the collubus monkey, baboons and red tailed monkeys. Thereafter proceed to the lodge for dinner and the night’s stay.

Day 2: Morning and Evening Game Safari

Awaken early to the beautiful sounds of the wild and start the day with a game drive in the northern sector of Murchison Falls. Look out for giraffes, buffalos, elephants, antelopes and many other mammals that inhabit the vast savannah grasslands of Murchison Falls.

Break for your lunch and afterwards head back for an evening game drive in the northern sector of Murchison Falls. As the sun sets, look out for the night dwellers including the leopards, lions and hyenas, which, with a little luck, we will see as they come out to hunt.

After the game drive, return to the lodge for dinner and the overnight stay.

Day 3:Morning Boat cruise and Relaxation

Awaken early to the beautiful sounds of the wild and start the day with a launch cruise on the Nile.

Sail to the bottom of Murchison Falls as you enjoy the unique sights of aquatic wildlife such as hippos, crocodiles and aquatic birds and the breathtaking views of the water falls. After your lunch, you can stay at the lodge to relax or visit the community.

Thereafter head back to the lodge in time for your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4:Transfer to Rhino Sanctuary

Awaken at leisure in time for your breakfast, thereafter be transferred to the Rhino Sanctuary where you will arrive in time for your lunch. After your lunch, relax as your swim or unwind the past events from your lodge.

Day 5:Drive to Entebbe/Kampala/Jinja

After a leisurely breakfast, embark on the 4-5 hour journey to Entebbe. For those headed back to Jinja we will take the Luweero short cut to avoid Kampala as we make our way back to Jinja.
